Toby Fairchild is a Fredericksburg, VA based musician who performs locally, regionally, and nationally with a variety of artist. In addition to performing, he also teaches drums and percussion. Toby received his formal music education at Virginia Commonwealth University where he studied classical percussion. In lessons, subjects  covered are orchestral percussion (such as concert snare drum, marimba, and accessory percussion), marching percussion, hand drumming (such as conga drums), and all styles of drum set as well as applied music theory, ear training, and percussion pedagogy. As a performer, Toby has had the opportunity to work with a number of well-known musicians such as Victor Wooten, Bob Weir, Eric Marienthal, Keller Williams, and James Moody among many others. Toby has recorded on over 40 albums and has contributed to numerous tracks for artists. Among the many hats Toby has worn in music are that of arranger, composer, producer, live and studio recording engineer.
